This house is divided into two rentable spaces, with two secured doors on either end of the stairs going to the basement. The basement unit has it's own parking on the side of the driveway and it's own entrance through the walkout backyard. When the basement was finished, additional investment was made to reduce the noise between the floors. There is double drywall with special acoustic glue to reduce noise, there are heavy doors at the top and bottom of the stairs with additional seals to reduce noise from transferring. This is the reason for the lower than normal rent for this part of town.
