This apartment is a self-contained one bedroom unit with its own entrance in a single family house on a quiet residential street in the University District. It is approximately 650sq. feet (give or take) and has substantial amount of natural light. It also has new vinyl floor.
It includes a living room, separate bedroom, large closet, desk nook, private bath and a small kitchen all of which is exclusive to and contained within the apartment. It has a separate entrance to the yard which the tenant can share. There is bike storage in a garage and there is zoned parking so street parking is easy.
Although the apartment is totally private and separate from the main house and the with its own entrance, and the owners are no longer residents we would like someone living there who is environmentally conscious, progressive, trustworthy, non-smoking and would be pleasant to see around on those occasions when they pass the other long term tenants. The property has always had a very well developed sense of shared community which we plan on maintaining.
The house is conveniently located near: University of WA (UW), many downtown buses, Scarecrow Video, Seattle Public Library, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Cowen Park,
Greenlake and mucho movie theaters.
The tenant is expected to care for the property like there own, picking up things that need to be picked up sharing taking the recycling, garbage to the curb, keeping the yard up and making sure they call when anything major needs attending to. In other words a mature and responsible person.
The rent is as advertised plus electricity and water/sewer/garbage. The unit has high speed wireless internet included in the rent.
Tenants are responsible for electricity and his/her share of water/sewer/garbage
