Please note, this is an individual room with it's own private bathroom; in one of four interconnected houses consisting of multiple shared spaces in this co-living community. These shared spaces include a kitchen and dining area, common living spaces and the outdoor courtyard space alike. This is a multi step application process; which begins with a community questionnaire, an interview process with the community and then the completion of the formal application which will be submitted and processed from there. The following is a statement from The Grove community: Tucked away on a quiet street and within walking distance of cafes and New Seasons, the Grove is an intergenerational (21-60+) co-living community consisting of four interconnected houses that share a courtyard. This unit is located in one of the main houses, which is shared by eight people. The room is on the first floor, has its own bathroom with a tub, and has a private exterior entrance. This room is currently available. Our community has a wide variety of personalities, backgrounds, and identities (LGBT+ friendly) and we enjoy getting together for sometimes planned, sometimes spontaneous community dinners and gatherings. Community members have a good balance of opportunities to spend time with others and having their own space to retreat to. We are a low/no drama community, and while we enjoy the occasional dance party, we have quiet hours, and the atmosphere is generally very peaceful. We are looking for housemates who have the time and energy to contribute a few hours a month to community living. This includes regularly attending our monthly community meeting, contributing a few hours per month to a team, and doing your household chores. We value open and direct communication, people who clean up after themselves in the common areas, and those who generally like helping out. Some of our interests include gardening, art, making music, going to concerts, dancing, reading, karaoke, board games, community, and drinking tea.
