This neighborhood is known locally as the "Polish Camp". There are large open spaces which are owned by the Polish National Union and the neighborhood is on the shore of McCullom Lake. Originally, this was a 'getaway' with cottages for people from Chicago to McCullom Lake. Some of the original Polish homeowners are still living here. The neighborhood is quiet with a lot of trees.
