Live on the top floor of a gorgeous, completely renovated Victorian home 1 1/2 blocks away from Cortelyou Rd. It has its own entrance, wholly separate from the owners (hey, that's us). Everything is brand new since we've finally emerged from 3 years of renovation due to many delays from Covid. 3 floor walkup with 2 landings upon which you can store things like shoes/jackets etc. Brand new LG washer and dryer, dishwasher. The shower is the most amazing shower ever with that porthole skylight. Water heater and stove are electric. We are obsessed with light and this apartment is basically soaked in it. The skylights all open remotely and are solar powered and have a sensor so if it starts to rain they close automatically. The skylights in both bedrooms have remote controlled blackout shades, the ones in the living room are shades. A/C units are split units so no need for any window A/Cs. We re-insulated the roof and walls extremely well so it doesn't get overly hot or cold. The larger bedroom can easily fit a king size bed, the smaller bedroom can fit a queen, but a double bed would be better. It would be the perfect office. And yes that little skylight opens too. We live in the heart of Ditmas Park, the largest neighborhood of Victorian houses in the country. Cortelyou is 1 1/2 blocks away with many restaurants, health food store, the Flatbush Food Coop, wine store, bars, Lea has the best bread freshly made every day. Every Sunday there's a farmer's market near the library. It's as cute as it gets and we feel like we live in a small town...but not too small. Prospect Park is a 12 minute walk from us, or a quick 5 min bike ride up through the leafy streets. Newkirk Ave also has more restaurants, and Newkirk Plaza even more. We're are about a 7-minute walk from Newkirk subway stop where the B and the Q run. Cortelyou station is also like 7-8min walk. The B68 goes straight up Coney Island Ave if you need to catch the F. Lots of other buses too. If you have a car, the Prospect Expressway is very easy to get on. One photo shows the gravel covered triangle which is the parking spot. That will soon be landscaped better, but for now that's what it looks like. We will offer a video tour if you are interested and can have a zoom call to chat. We have been very very careful with Covid around. We are currently living in the building with our 13 year old twins. We're artsy foody types who actually respond promptly if something needs fixing.
