This home is so unique and very hard to come by in terms of renting. The house is big enough for an individual student in need of more space, a professional, or a couple. The landlord is looking for a responsible tenant and one willing to maintain the home well over the course of the lease. Technically, this is a sublet as I had signed on for another year back in February. There is a one month security deposit and first months rent on move in date. The move in date is flexible within the month of August and I can prorate the Aug. month's rent for you! Some details about the house: Dishwasher in the kitchen and so much storage! Plus that cute checker floor :) The house overall gets great light. Because it is mostly shaded by big trees, you get the light but not the heat! It stays fairly cool on summer days. The home comes with two ac units. I haven't needed to use them this year. Depends what you find comfortable. Heat comes through the vents and has a draft in the living room for sucking up cold air in the winter. Works effectively. My bill in the winter was $120, summer $60-70. All depends on your use! Water is paid through American Water and hovers around $35 a month. You are responsible for maintaining the lawn. The landlord has a shared garage in the house next door with a mower you can use for free. You may need to buy the gas occasionally as it's use by her other tenants in the house on the corner. (She owns the three properties in a row on Griggs) You will have a lawn care addendum to the lease to sign. The landlord also cherishes the original hardwood floors in two rooms of the house and recommends spot buffing here and there and a full buff yearly or at the end of the lease. There's also the option to pay to have her maintenance person do it at the end of your lease. There is an addendum to the lease for this as well. The bathroom is average. I added a curved curtain rod to allow for more space in the shower and it's perfect. The previous tenant added the built ins, which would stay. I have interchanges the rooms a few times during my stay and between the main room, the smaller room and the room off the bathroom can function as a workspace, bedroom(s) and tv room/living room. I love that you can decide the layout of the house a little bit! I am moving with my partner into a home. We are able to get in there August 17. I am listing this for August 1st, but if have flexibility in pushing the move in date back, I will prorate the month of August for you! That would be a big plus for an incoming tenant, but not required. We have a backup solution! Let me know if you would like to schedule a showing, however in the time of COVID-19, I made a walking tour and posted it on YouTube. You can find it here:
