Our home is a 3 bedroom 1 bath, with a comfortable little guest house that sleeps four and has its own bathroom with a shower. The guest house has a futon on the first floor and California King in the loft. This has been very popular with family and friends from around the world. The garage has been converted into an office, workshop, and voice over studio. We have an indoor Chefs Kitchen with granite countertops and custom hand built cabinets. All appliances are top of the line. We also have an outdoor Bar-B-Que kitchen under a 20'x30' roof complete with refrigerator, cooktop, sink and of course the Bar-B-Que. This is a great sitting area where we happen to have a pool table and movie projector for movies Al Fresco. This overlooks the in-ground pool we built a few years ago that has a jacuzzi built in and an automatic pool cover which absolutely makes it too easy. Both pool and jacuzzi are covered with the press of a button. We paid extra to have the pool extra deep for diving which is rare these days. The property is pie shaped and so there is plenty of room to expand in the back. We have several blueprints for making the house much larger. Yet for us it wasn't right. For us an indoor outdoor flow was more important. We live in Southern California with almost perfect weather. Why close yourself in? This is a cosy house not a modern McMansion like what is popping up all around us. This place has heart and soul and a good one. The house sits at the end of a semi cul de sac so we have a view down the street that gives a wonderful open feel to the front yard and a nice way to say Hi to the neighbors in the morning. Most mornings I'll see my neighbors kids playing a little basketball before school. Next to the guest house is a wonderful rare thing if you have kids. The trampoline is built into the ground, making it much safer and gives a smaller visual footprint. Speakers are wired throughout the house and yard including behind the pool and under the trampoline. Making this a great party house, and a place kids never want to leave. The real gold is the neighborhood. This is a rare gem for Los Angeles. Our neighborhood is truly that,.. kids play together and the adults are all friends. Moms walking dogs together daily, and an annual block party that gathers in front of our house. We watch out for each other and have extra security systems in place for neighborhood watch including text alerts to all. Most of us enjoy an annual lobster feed and a progressive party at the end of the year. I even work freelance with several of my neighbors as many of us are in the film and television industry. We really do have a great place. Some of the older neighbors have been here for 50+ years. Valley village is a wonderful little oasis in the middle of the madness of LA. But this corner is the best little true neighborhood in Los Angels. An ideal place to raise a family here. No money can ever buy that, it takes time and effort to develop it or a maybe just a little luck to fall into it.
