    Look, why buy a cookie cutter house that is almost a million dollars or more which is so close to your neighbor that you can hear them going to the bathroom and has a tiny yard with no landscaping? And, then if you do landscape it you have to hope that the landscaping will mature before your kids graduate from college. Don't you want home where your kids can run and play in safety? In their own yard! And when I say run, this lot has a lot of running room. Also, does that home you are looking at have a driveway that you can park more than two cars on? Is the driveway big enough for your kids to play on so they are not in the street? Does that home you are looking at sit on a street with lots of traffic? Does it have easy access to the city and the mountains or is it located in the boondocks like Arrowcreek, Spanish Springs, or Summerlin where you spend more time driving to and from your house than actually living in it? Look, there is more to a home than just stucco walls. You know it and I know it. Remember this is where your children will grow up. Don't you want to live on a very quiet cul-de-sac in a great location with no association fees? When we bought the house this was the original realtor write up: "Distinctive and private in the desirable Lakeridge area of SW Reno at the end of a cul-de-sac, convenient to downtown, freeway, golf, schools and more! This property has been extensively remodeled and features tongue-in-groove wood ceilings, gleaming hardwood floors, solid-core interior doors, and is split-level but lives like a single-level with 3 bds on entry level and 5 steps down to kitchen/great room. Open kitchen boasts granite counters, new cabinetry and all-new appliances." The realtor failed to mention that the driveway was a disaster and the seller painted over the rotting deck. But my wife fell in love with it. Now, I can honestly say that this is a Midcentury Modern home with a brand new redesigned driveway with amazing curbing and a new waterproofed private deck off of the master suite. I know you are probably saying that the asking price is way over the comps in the neighborhood. Well give me a call and we can talk about what a home really is worth instead of what some realtor who doesn't live in it says its worth that day.
