The home is situated directly across from The Gwynns Falls waterway, within Baltimore City's Leakin Park. The community is called Dickeyville, after the original mill owner, which became a bustling little village in Baltimore during the mid-1800's. The Mill made sails for the ships entering Baltimore's harbor, along with civil war uniforms (for the North AND the South). Built in 1945, the home has been completely renovated, with newly installed central heating and air conditioning, newish kitchen appliances and completely redone bathrooms. There are two bedrooms upstairs, sharing one full bath and an open air, over hanging porch that looks out onto the river system. There is a third bathroom downstairs, along with a full bathroom. There is also a third floor attic which seconds as a storage unit if needed. There are several patio spaces, great for outdoor cooking, and relaxing. There is a mature perennial garden in the front and back of the home, that welcomes annual flowers easily into the landscape. Privacy is paramount, but there are kind neighbors all around, walking dogs, exercising, and greeting one another on a regular basis. If you have children of any age, they are sure to find a cadre of friends as the village has seen more little persons around than ever before. Directly in front of the house and across the street is a huge meadow, where footballs are tossed, picnics are had by the waterfall, and lounging with a good book is just a few yards away. There is off-street parking for one car, but ample street parking directly in front of house. The street has "no exit" meaning, only people living in the village and their guests are using it, along with the single business at the end of the road. Traffic is minimal, to say the least. A car is necessary for shopping and errand running; since, we are literally surrounded by forest. It is a mile or two to the nearest shopping plaza or gas station. The nearest cross street is Windsor Mill and Forest Park, with Security Blvd. just a mile down the road. We are also very close to 695 and Rt. 70. So, come see the prize of Dickeyville, your home away from home; move-in dates are flexible but not until after May 1st. More pictures to follow Owner pays for water; renter pays for electric ($45-95) depending on time of year. Dogs are welcome but must be contained when renter is not in the home, unless very, very well trained. Cats are welcome if renter is meticulous about odor and litter. Dogs must be on a leash outside, but can be contained in the yard if needed. Owner and Renter split wi-fi. There are two TVs, one downstairs and one in master bedroom. I use a firestick, but cable can be added upon discussion. The house must be cleaned on a regular basis. NO flexibility on this. I use a house cleaner that is honest and fair.
