The West Farm neighborhood is a community filled with wonderful people and lots of great activities. It is conveniently located within 5 minutes of exit 26 off of Interstate 385. The neighborhood is in city limits of Fountain Inn (just across the border with Simpsonville), it is within 8 minutes of downtown Simpsonville and all the amenities located off of Fairview Road. Being within the City limits offers free trash, lawn debris and recycling pick up. It is within 5-10 minutes of both the farmers markets in Fountain Inn and Simpsonville. Downtown Fountain Inn and Simpsonville have weekly gatherings of live music and dancing too! Two major parks are located within 5-10 minute drives: Heritage Park (which has an amphitheater for awesome concerts for the area) and Simpsonville City Park (which the playground has recently been redone by Greenville county). Five Forks is within 15 minutes of the neighborhood as well. Nice golf courses are also within 10 minutes to the neighborhood. There is an annual Easter egg hunt and pot luck lunch that occurs on the open green spaces near the pool. An annual Fourth of July parade occurs each year where all the kids are encouraged to decorate their bike or wagon in patriotic colors. The parade is led by a city of Fountain Inn firetruck each year as well. The truck typically cools the kiddos off with a quick hose spray after the parade walk. The parade wraps up with popsicles and those with the best patriotic decorations wins a prize. The community pool area is used for a wide variety of fun events. From work outs to craft classes to birthday parties, the community pool and covered patio is a great spot! The neighborhood is also very active when it comes to trick-or-treating for Halloween! Our community does a outdoor "drive in" movie theatre where the kids sit in their "cars" (decorated cardboard boxes) and watch a fun family movie! There is a community shared book exchange box for the kids near the pool parking lot as well. The neighborhood has a very active Facebook page where people can communicate about upcoming events or if someone is in need of something. The community also plans special event gatherings as well! We had an amazing viewing of last summers total solar eclipse at the pool. T shirts were even made to celebrate the event.
