Brackett Cottage elegantly encircles you with fine prints, antique-style dinnerware, and nautical charts that represent Marblehead's seafaring role in American history. The living room, with its fireplace and cozy lighting, provides the perfect ambiance for gatherings. The dining room accommodates 4-6 guests, and the kitchen is equipped with full-sized appliances for any meal. Enjoy al fresco dining in the private garden accessible from the kitchen. Parking passes for off-street parking are available for a nominal fee. Founded in 1629, Marblehead was a crucial fishing port during the American Revolution. As is typical with many colonial-era homes, ceilings and doorways are a little lower than today's standards, so tall people may need to duck through doorways. Stairways are narrow, and floors slope. The property is cooled with window air conditioning units installed in May and removed in September. Each unit has both a cooling and fan function. High-speed WiFi is available throughout the cottage, and each room with a window AC unit also has a fan for added comfort.
