It occupies the top floor, and part of the second-to-top floor (second or third story, depending on perspective). We're looking for the perfect match: some great renters who are looking for a year lease in a furnished space in the heart of the charming Brookline Village. This is the good, and you're probably wondering, what is the bad? The home was built in 1843 and is all wood. At times we can hear the owners of the other unit along the shared wall, but they're a wonderful family who we've cohabited with for a long time. We ask that you be respectful. The top floor is a converted attic - it can get warm. The central air works wonderfully, but since heat rises, you'll want to keep it cool in the summer without taxing the A/C (please set it no lower than ~71). It can be expensive in August, but you make up for it the rest of the year. It stays warm in the winter. Sorry, no pets. Sorry, no smoking. The unit may not be suitable for children due to stairs and railings. Use your best judgement. First month's rent, last month's rent, and security deposit (one months rent, to be held in interest-bearing escrow) due at signing. Owner (we) are responsible for sewer/water/gas. Tenants (you) are responsible for electricity and any other services (e.g. internet) they'd like to run to the home. As we are the owners and are not going through a broker (better for everyone, and no fee for anyone), we expect a (1) Credit report, (2) Background check, (3) Income & employment history and (4) Proof-of-income - all services offered through Zillow, before proceeding.
