Private, quiet and comfortable living in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee. Great for family's looking to relocate to a slower, quieter country life. Year round water runs in the creek that borders property (our kids loved catching crawdads), also good swiming hole for the kids a little further down the creek. Builder/owner occupied since it was built in 2008. Custom built from the footing up, oversized 24"x 16" concrete footings with triple runs of steel reinforcement, 8x16 concrete block (not light weight), exterior 2x6 walls, 2x12 floor joist, engineered roof trusses with center portion being stick built with 2x12 rafters. Insulation exceeds guidelines, which saves on utility bills. 400 amp electrical service. Large back deck for entertaining or just to sit back with a cold glass of sweet iced tea and relax and listen to the sounds of nature (really nice for that early cup of coffee too). Starting in the foyer, it opens up to the large living room, with all rooms flowing nicely from there. 4 bedrooms with attached bathrooms. One being a Jack and Jill bath. Master bath has large 2 person shower and 2 person jetted tub, with large walk in closet. (This is the size of a bedroom in smaller homes.lol) Gourmet kitchen if you love to cook. Everything was well planned out on the layout by the best chef in Elk Valley, my wife (our kids said she was the best cooker lol) Formal dining as well as a large breakfast nook. Huge upstairs can be used as a bedoom also (its been a play/game room for us). This home was built with love and great care to be our forever home but unfortunately due to health reasons we must painfully sale. Our loss is your gain. I must add a small but top notch K-8 STEM school is just roughly 5 minutes away. We all are very proud of our Elk Valley Stem School and its faculty. They know us all by name and treat the kids as family (8th graders dont want to move on to High School). This area has alot to offer a family. Mountains with abundant wildlife, Deer, Elk, Turkey, Pheasant, Quail, Squirrel, Bear, Coyote, Bobcat, and even a mountain lion has been spotted a time or two, but Bigfoot has also been spotted as well ;) Great for 4-wheeling, hunting, photography or just veiwing this beautiful country. If your a fisherman, alot of stocked ponds around (please get owners permission before fishing though) and Cove Lake and Norris Lake is just a short drive away. We have two beautiful State parks nearby, Indian Mountain and Cove Lake. (Both have camping and fishing) Both are awesome for visiting. If you want the pleasures and convenience of shopping and city life, this is not it. Its about a 20-30 minute drive to nearest town but if your looking for all Ive mentioned, you cant get any better. This isnt just a house, this is a home. Serious inquiries only can call me (homeowner) at (865) 617-0032.
