Our street is very friendly and has some great traditions: Progressive New Years Eve dinner for the neighbors, writing all the kids names in chalk from their front door, down to the bus stop on the first day of school, Labor Day block party, Easter Egg hunt, 4th of July fireworks. We have two snowblowers on the street, everyone owns a share in them. When it snows its a neighborhood activity to clear the snow. Whenever a new neighbor moves in they are warmly welcomed. Cascades as a neighborhood has been a great place for us to live. The Potomac River is within walking distance. Their are 5 pools and multiple tennis courts throughout. Horizon, Riverbend and Potomac Falls High School are all really well respected schools. Wegmans is close by as well as Dulles Town Center and Reston Town Center. We're right over the Fairfax County line so homes are more affordable here and everything we need is close at hand.
