Welcome to Belleauwood. Belleauwood is a working one hand self-sufficient seasonal subsistence homestead. This has been my passion project for over a decade. The heart of the farm is real cypress log cabin! The shell of the house was constructed and received it’s CO in 2010, by BK Cypress, a local builder out of Levy County, Florida using bespoke plans, of which I have for you to see! The house was never lived in and sat empty and uncompleted until 2015 when I purchased it and finished it. This was my passion project. I customized the home and had fun sourcing the switches, light fixtures and appliances. I painted, added the outdoor kitchen and repurposed the cabins into a workshop (the one that was beautifully finished on the inside) and a hen house. I created the ponds, fire pit and compost area, where we make the dirt needed for the garden and orchard. I bought two baby goats and started with ten hens and two roosters. From there I expanded the flocks and heard, mostly keeping them closed. I have most of the manuals and books to accompany many of the appliances, fixtures and features that convey with the property. The house is hardwired with copper for fast internet from WINDSTREAM, Broadband from Central Florida Fiber is hooked up and an even larger pipe from Kinetic is in the ground as of 9/18/24. There is also coaxial cable to most spaces of the house, but I do not use that anymore having moved to an Alexa-based smart platform a few years ago. The green garden is well protected, and double fenced from the free-range livestock and the wildlife. It is irrigated from a underground hard pipe from the house based water source. There are sprinklers after that. The livestock, tools and truck, trailer and business are all involved in the sale as a “Dutch-Style” Auction, where the price decreases monthly, and as things sell. I am sad to leave and hope that you will enjoy being self-sufficient on this property. I found great joy in living in the cutest house and eating the best tasting food of my life.
