Neighborhood Description Calvert Hills is an older neighborhood with gorgeous trees--in fact it's called a Tree Santuary--and many neighbors have lived here for many years. The beauty of the neighborhood, however, is that on our street we have young families with children, retirees, and several couples in their twenties-forties. They are all kind and helpful. We are on a corner lot and the first-floor bedroom looks out on a walking path with trees and plantings (it's where the trolley came many years ago). The city of College Park has excellent services--snow removal, trash pick-up, recycling, and Public Works that help with special issues--like large trash removal. We have a lot of birds and on a clear day you can hear the bells from the chapel of the University of Maryland. Metro is four short blocks away.
