This is classified as a land sale due to the age of the small farmhouse. I remodeled it in 2012 but the floor has some issues even though I had it leveled last summer. The farmhouse has central air, foam insulation, new plumbing and electrical, septic tank, high speed cable internet (Kinetic) and county water. The land has three large chicken houses still standing but they are in very poor condition (Pilgrim Pride raised chickens here in the 60's and 70's.) There are two old water wells, reportedly to the depth of 200 feet, on the property and one of them was working until about seven years ago until the pump gave out. The land has over 1,000 feet of frontage on Hwy 69 between Huntington and Zavalla, Texas. It has over 15 varieties of bamboo I used to build furniture with mainly the timber bamboo varieties (most of it was planted in 2009. The 34.7 acres has about 3 acres of bamboo spread throughout including Vivax, Moso, Rubro, Madake, Parvifolia, Robert Young, Temple (green and maroon), Golden, Nigra, Bory, Henon, Shiroshima, Vivax Huangwenzhu and Inversa version and Arrow bamboo. Since many of these bamboo varieties reach greater than 3 inches in diameter, they produce a substantial amount of edible bamboo shoots in the spring. I can harvest over 100 pounds of shoots in about 15 minutes. They are delicious! There's a bamboo lined rock driveway from Hwy 69 all the way to the house, though there's also 2 entrances on Marshall Ivy Road. There's also a 2nd asphalt/culvert entrance on Hwy 69.
