One word - Diversity. People of all walks of life choose to live in and enjoy Hyde Park - one of the oldest and most loved neighborhoods in Austin. We have a strong sense of community - in fact many people that move away from Hyde Park stay on the community forums/email lists in the chance that they may move back some day. Lots of dog walkers, exercisers, and gardeners in the hood. Surprisingly quiet for a neighborhood right in the middle of town. Easy to walk to three different grocery stores, over 10 restaurants, a wine bar, a regular bar, several convenience stores, and a beautiful park with tennis courts, pool, basketball court and playground. There is also an art museum and a theater. Much more than can be listed here.
