Our home is really two-levels because the so-called basement is finished. We have about 1,119 square feet in this lower level used by us as 1) spacious recreation room, 2) office with adjoining kitchen that includes stove, refrigerator and sink and 3) large washer and dryer room. A 3/4 bath with shower, sink and toilet is located next to the office. A 1/4 bath (sink and toilet) exists in the recreation room.
In 2010 we made significant home repairs and improvements to include: 1) adding top-of-the line central air and heating unit (Carrier AC & Heat Pump Condensing Units (our model 24APA760A310): 10 years on parts/compressor: 10 years on evaporator coil, we pay for labor.
Carrier Gas/Oil Furnace 90%+ Infinity Series 58MV: 10 year on parts and life on heat exchanger, we pay labor.); 2) French drain, grading of front and back, new sod and shrubbery, tree removal; 3) new garage doors, remodeled basement kitchen with new oven and refrigerator and basement 3/4 bath; 4) refurbished brick work in front and back of house and 5) new gutters.
In 2018 we 1) completely renovated the bathroom adjoining the master bedroom, 2) replaced the electric breaker panel box with a new one (200-amp mail breaker 40-space square D panel; Homeline Surge Arresstor and Eaton generator interlock plate, 3) replaced all two-pronged electric outlet boxes with three-pronged boxes, and 4) installed a portable 10,000-watt generator with an easily accessible 50-amp power inlet box located on front of the house near the garage. A 15-foot, 50-amp 125/250-Volt power cord easily connects the inlet box to my DuroMax Dual-Fuel Hybrid XP10000EH generator.
In 2019 we renovated the children's bathroom and in 2020 we have: installed a new 50-gallon gas water heater (Model PROG50-38N RU60), replaced existing insulation batting in attic with blow-in-cellulose (minimum R-30), replaced the crawlspace vapor barrier, and landscaped the front yard.
In 2023 we've replaced the tile in the downstairs kitchen and office bathroom, the office rug, the rug in the spacious recreation room, and on the stairs connecting the upper and lower levels of our home. Also, had the walls in the office and popcorn ceiling painted.
