This home has all the original features, it has not been "carved up". The original craftsmanship shows throughout this home. There are doors on each room in this home and all have the original hardware - they are pine doors that were originally faux painted to resemble walnut. The master bedroom suite that is in process of being restored was originally a "ballroom" and is separated by an original accordian-style door that would have been opened up to entertain. The windows are 4'x6' and the sills are 1' deep. Six of the rooms are 16'x18', two are 8' x 18', and one is 12' x 18. It has a "shotgun" style hallway, in that you could open up the front door and it goes straight back to one of the two back doors (which has since been turned into a full bathroom - this is also where the laundry area is located). From the first floor, you can look up the two flights of stairs leading to the attic and admire the woodwork and craftsmanship. The attic is spacious and open. It has the original beams with the roman numerals carved into them to indicate where they were to be placed. It is a beautiful home that has always been well taken care of.
