Home has gas heat (separate ac/gas systems for bottom floor and top). Both bottom and top have a gas fireplace as well (with a remote). We was installed the NEST thermostat upstairs which has saved us a lot on heating and AC needs. Bottom floor rarely uses heat or AC as it is built into the side of a hill so you get the benefits of geothermal heating and cooling. I have never seen it get below 64° even in minus degree weather, and the hottest I have seen it get downstairs is 69°. We have lived in the home since 2011. This is a wonderful community, and the neighbors are as genuinely kind and involved as you could hope to have. If you are a dog owner, there are a wealth of walking groups when the weather is nice. The community holds a get together once a year in October, and on the 4th of July, there are several locations to go in the community to watch the Weaverville fireworks display if fighting the crowds are not your thing.
