We have many neighbors who live close-by who have watched and provided feedback on the renovation and have seen many vintage cabins/cottages over the years and they gave this one a very enthusiast two-thumbs up for cuteness! Many cabins/cottages on the mountain have medium to very steep land surrounding the home. This cabin sits on a mostly walkable 1/3 acre which adds to the fun for the youngsters and for the young at heart! This cabin is also situated in one of the original areas of Lake Arrowhead. The majority of our neighbors are year-round residents who look out for each other and help maintain the area as a peaceful family oriented environment. *There are multiple approaches from the cabin to the lake and the village. Two of the approaches take me approximately 18 minute to walk. The elevation at Lake Arrowhead is 5174 feet. Also, since this is a mountain the roads will be sloping downhill and uphill. I have personally clocked the shortest approach to be (straight-down Cottage Grove and across Hwy 18.) Numerous residents, visitors and guests regularly walk from this area of Arrowhead to the lake and village. There are other approaches to the cabin that are approximately 10-15 minutes longer and a bit more strenuous.
