Located about 350 stairs above the UC Berkeley campus on Panoramic Hill, it's an enjoyable 5-10 minute walk down to campus through some of Berkeley's many hidden staircases (it takes a little longer walking up), roughly a 15 minute walk to Downtown Berkeley BART & shops, less than 100 yards to the Berkeley Firetrails if you enjoy hiking or jogging, one mile along the trail to Lawrence Berkeley Labs. It is an easy walking commute to UC Berkeley and a short trip to SF on the BART train. Driving always depends on the traffic gods. Scooters and motorcycles are an excellent way to get around the hill as the roads are a bit more European than most, that being said, there is plenty of street parking. Recently updated, the house has tons of light, views of the San Francisco Bay from almost every room, washer/dryer, an open kitchen, on-demand hot water, and a big yard full of random fox, turkey, deer and other docile hill animals. Panoramic Hill is a peaceful paradise loaded with colorful characters and architectural gems, the neighbors are extremely friendly and just out of view.
