Shark River Hills (SRH) is a quiet, friendly community that is along the Shark River with a less than 3 mile (under 5 minute) drive to the ocean. It is a subsection of Neptune, NJ, as is Ocean Grove. Adjectives like safe, clean, quiet, friendly, shore-like apply. There is a marine and yacht club as well as a local community convenience store. It has nearly unparalleled access to major roads - Rts 18, 33, 34, 35, 66, 71, 195 and the GSP are at the door or very nearby. The Jersey Shore Med Ctr is within 2 miles with all the medical support facilities and doctor locations. Shopping of all kinds, (food, mall, upscale outlets, Walmart, Home Depot, Target, BJs, Costco) all within 5 to 10 minutes drive but have zero local effect within the traffic of SRH. An observation is that many members of families that grow up in Shark River Hills buy home in SRH.
