The Carilon Lakes community is a 24 hour gated community with very easy access to the Polk Parkway, I-4 (to Tampa and Orlando), near to Lakeside Village (new outdoor shopping mall which also includes LOTS of restaurants, theater, etc). The community includes numerous lakes and ponds for fishing and boating (electric motors only), walking trails and sidewalks, heated pool (year-round), hot tub, two clubhouses with several activity rooms, billiards room, kitchen, exercise room bell tower and very nice views. Tennis courts, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, pickle ball courts and other amenities round out the list. People are really friendly here! We are not moving out, rather moving into a nearby home which will allow for an indoor woodworking shop.
