    Closed on September 29, 2025 and was under contract on an inventory home on July 14, 2025. Due to builder staffing issues, the proposed closing date for early Sept was postponed to end of Sept, 2025. I was promised that a newly constructed home with good quality work will be complete prior to new home orientation and so, I scheduled for a third party inspection which was completed. Home was not ready when the inspector visited, nor was it ready at new home orientation (gas was not turned on) the week prior to closing, so the inspector did what he could at that time, and the third party inspection report (without the gas items assessment) was provided to Stanley Martin. I was reassured that these items would be repaired prior to the final walkthrough and closing. During the final walkthrough, many items were still outstanding. These were attached to the list of items “not completed” and signed by both the builder David and the buyer. Were told these would be completed within 24 hours. In good faith, I still closed on the home even though these items were outstanding. Note that gas was turned on just hours before her closing. Inspector visited right after closing and noted items that were still not properly corrected. Contacted the builder (David) and sales manager (Kisha) for a prompt response. Unfortunately, there has been limited response. Requested to address all the pending items as agreed upon at the time of purchase of the property. During the time of closing, it was noted that the gas fireplace was not turning on, dishwasher was not working, dryer did not work(I was notified by Stanley Martin crew that it was defective and so, I replaced the dryer and it was still not working. Eventually a different Electrician sent by Stanley Martin arrived and replaced switch, spliced wires and re-connected it. Finally the dryer worked. I was without a dryer for 16 days. Front lock is defective. Grout in the bathroom was peeling off leaving an open area , roof repairs were not completed to the inspector's satisfaction and approval, and many more. It has been 7 weeks, still there are pending items. There has been no response to all the items listed as "incomplete". I was requested to send request to warranty center for assistance. This has been so frustrating, disappointing, time consuming and anxiety provoking period in my life. This has not been a pleasant experience. I am not a new home buyer and have built residential home in the past. I will not recommend Stanley Martin homes to anyone.
