Extraordinary mountain views and nearly 5 acre lot bordering National Forest. Less than an hour from Charlottesville. One of a kind views. It's definitely in a remote mountainous area with lots of privacy. When looking at the photos showing the lot outline everything behind this lot is national forest land. Lots of potential for a nice cabin or camp, fire pit, etc. Close proximity to Shenandoah mountain trail and fire roads in National Forest for hunting, cycling, Ramseys Draft hiking, fishing, etc. Nearby trails, mountain biking roads, fishing. Available to see by appointment only. This lot is at about 2600 feet in elevation with surrounding peaks of 4000+ feet high. Rear edge of lot backs up to national forest. Older cabin on property on lower wooded site, possible restoration or build on the higher level Site. Power available at private rd adjoining driveway. A little additional information: The cabin was built in 1984, it would need substantial work to be used. There is no power or well on the property but there is a buried power line at the property edge if you wanted power. The entire property is on the spine of a ridge leading uphill with not very much flat ground. The driveway is steep but I'm able to easily drive up in a Ford Escape with regular street tires unless it's exceptionally wet or snowy in which case I park at the bottom of the driveway. The driveway is approximately 800' in length and has an elevation gain of about 175'. The flat space up top is about 30' higher than the upper parking area and will need some minor sitework/handwork to put in a path for easier access if you plan to bring building materials up there. The existing cabin is located about halfway up the driveway in the woods. I've included some approximate outlines of the property boundary and surrounding area.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
