    Aloha! Fully furnished transitional housing available starting June 20, 2025. This home boasts 1852 sq. ft. of inside living with an additional 550 sq. ft. of covered deck space, an over-sized 2.5 car garage and a distant ocean view from the kitchen and living room. A sliding glass/screen door is located in the living room, dining room and all three bedrooms that provides direct access to covered deck space for a true indoor/outdoor Hawaii living experience. While on the rear deck, take in the distant ocean and mountain views, pick avocados, oranges and bananas from the large yard (1/3 acre). For the warmer summer months, there are new A/C units in all three bedrooms and the living room. For cooler nights in the winter, warm yourself up with the wood burning fireplace in the family room. Enjoy a glass of wine from the wine fridge in the kitchen and cook amazing meals with newer and upgraded GE Slate appliances. The rent is $4000/month and tenants are responsible for electricity and water which average around $300/month. The owner pays GE Tax ($180), internet ($65/month), and propane ($55/month), which is a value of around $300/month. The owner is responsible for major landscaping (cutting back trees and bushes) once every 4-5 months. The lower level tenants mow the lawn once every 10 days. There is a separate unit on the lower level. The units are completely separate and still provide a very high level of privacy. The only time you will see the lower level tenants is when they are mowing the lawn. Foot traffic from the upstairs tenants does create some noise for the downstairs tenants, which requires the upstairs tenants to be mindful. Pets are negotiable. One cat or one small dog (less than 25 pounds) with approval. Six month lease minimum that transitions to month to month after the initial six months. House is fully furnished with about $12,000 worth of furnishings (beds, couches, dressers, kitchen table, cooking items, patio furniture). This is not a vacation rental. We have a website with additional photos and a virtual tour from 2019, but the website link is not compatible with Zillow. If interested, we can email you the website link. The outside of the house is blue and was painted in 2021. We welcome the opportunity to rent the property to someone "site unseen" who is in the process of moving to Kauai, but not yet on Kauai. We found the process to be difficult when we first moved to Kauai in 2015. We are trying to make that process more pleasant by offering our long term rental fully furnished and willing to rent "site unseen." Rental property will be available June 20, 2025. To be able to rent the property, all adults 18+ will be required to complete an application on the website, "Rent Spree." No exceptions. Each application is $40 per adult, which provides a credit score, credit report and background check for criminal history. The $40 goes to the website, "Rent Spree" and not the owner.
