There is industry sound proofing in the ceiling and well insulated walls and floors make it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This is a great home for people suffering from allergies or asthma. No history of any pets ever and wood floors throughout. The radiant heat in the walls and towel warmer in the bathroom provide even heat without forced air. There is a back deck and well kept garden with espalier apple and pear trees lining the path to the apartment. It is a block from Jefferson Park which contains the food forest, golf course, community center, lawn bowling, kids playground, basketball court, zip lines, water park, basketball court, and skate park. The neighborhoods of Beacon Hill, Columbia City and Georgetown are within walking distance with many great local restaurants and bars. It is a short drive to downtown (or quick light rail trip),the international district and capital hill. Parking is easy to find and the neighborhood is quiet and safe yet has the convenience of being 2 min from I5 and 5 min from I90. This is not a great place for very tall people. If you are 6' 5" or taller, you head would touch the ceiling. I'm serious about the no pet policy and unfortunately can't make any exceptions due to allergies and the fact that all the wood in the apartment is very sensitive to scratches. I will consider shorter month to month rentals in addition to a different start time. Utilities are $200 per month in addition to the rent and include laundry, fiber internet, radiant heat, garbage, sewer, electricity, gas.
