While working on this house on Noyack Road, I was told that it was once owned by writer Barry Head. He was an accomplished writer who is probably best known for writing the string of books around the invention of a very good guy. The adventures around the house includes a private little tree house where a hammock swings - a sunken tub in the master tiled in a colorful array of tiles, no doubt carried back from many trips to Mexico. The courtyard has a triangular shaped pool, likely more for a casual swim overlooking the reserve- rather than a pool party. There were surely dinner parties in the courtyard under the arbor and I am sure great movie nights in the upstairs screening room. Remodeled and refreshed in airy modern way, but some of the original flavor remains and it has a calm yet inspiring feel."It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood". It is true, "Sag Harbor doesn't disappoint".
