This old miners home was mostly remodeled in 2014. It has new roof and windows, new kitchen counter, new bath tub and toilet, new carpet and inside paint, and newer electric stove/oven. Plus we just put in a new sliding glass door. In the garage there are extensive storage shelves framed with 2x4s that our last tenants professionally built. What I love about our little home is it's location. Not only is it a great place from which to get to I-25 or highway 287, it's just down the street from the Lafayette Rec Center then a little further down is the library. It's also a short drive to King Soopers, Natural Grocers (aka Vitamin Cottage) and Sprouts. But by far my favorite is that old town Lafayette is just a short walk away and where you can enjoy many brew pubs and eateries. That's where they have the Peach Festival in August and Art Night out on second Fridays in the warmer months where they bring in talented Colorado musicians for free concerts at the Festival Plaza. This plaza is a gathering place at Public Road and Chester Streets. It is home to festivals, summer story time, summer concerts, and an outdoor cinema. Starting Memorial Day, the fountains are on from 10am to 8pm daily until Labor Day, but of course they're turned off during scheduled events. More people are moving to family friendly Lafayette and all in all there is a sense of revival in old town. Tenant pays for utilities and mows the lawn.
