Lake View Retreat is located on the Holliday Homestead property which is situated on 23 acres of family land and our guests are welcome to explore the trails through the forest! Fishing is also allowed! We encourage our guests to spend some much-needed time reconnecting with nature and themselves! Guests truly have the best of both worlds! The feeling of being away from it all while also having the luxury and convenience of being only minutes from town! THE SPACE: This home has warmth, color, and character, perfect for those seeking absolute relaxation in an indulgent, welcoming, and romantic environment. As soon as you step inside the home you can feel the love in each space since every item was placed with careful consideration and LOVE! The living room is spacious enough to play in and want to stay in. Snuggle up in the cozy blankets and enjoy that movie, book, game, and/or conversation you have wanted to enjoy by the fireplace. A wall of windows brings in an abundance of natural light as well as the calming effects of the peaceful water right outside. KITCHEN: Lake View Retreat offers a kitchen that is big enough to dance and romance in! Equipped with an oven, stove, coffee pot, refrigerator, blender, etc. This fully stocked kitchen is the perfect place to mix up a meal with the ones you love! The space offers a variety of things that will entice your senses. Even doing the dishes here is enjoyable because of the gorgeous views out the window above the kitchen sink! BEDROOMS: Lake View Retreat offers 2 lovely bedrooms to choose from, the self-titled "Lake View Room" with a queen bed and the lovely "Rustic Relaxation Room" with a full-size bed. "Lake View Room" as its name suggests, boasts breathtaking views of the lake. Early birds will especially appreciate this room as the golden glow from the rising sun flows into the room. For those of you who are more night owls, don't worry, we provide thicker curtains to keep the sun at bay until you are ready to take on the day! The "Lake View Room" also has its own full ensuite space to freshen up in. The "Rustic Relaxation Room" has elements of a classic farmhouse style. The large fireplace is perfect for the chilly cold days of Fall and Winter. Cozy up in the comfy covers or bundle up in a blanket to enjoy a book in one of the two beautiful victorian chairs for guests to relax within their own room. The room has its own TV that is equipped with ROKU, so you can cuddle up in candlelight and watch a movie. Don't forget to enjoy watching the sunset colors through the wall of windows! SUMMARY: Lake View Retreat at the Holliday Homestead has so much character, comfort, and charm! Its location is in the sweet spot where you feel like you are away from it all and surrounded by the beautiful natural landscapes, yet just minutes from the yummy food, live music, and fun! IMPORTANT FOR GUESTS TO NOTE! Lake View Retreat is a duplexed home. Please be aware that Lake View Retreat guests have their own private outdoor spaces, parking areas, and entrances to the home but it is a shared property. Lease length can vary based on your needs. We prefer 3-month lease agreements or longer but we are flexible. The first month's rent and a deposit equal to one month's rent will be collected upon the signing of the lease. If needed the deposit can be split into 2 payments. The owner pays for utilities and high-speed internet. No smoking is allowed on the property. No pets are allowed. The owner takes care of maintenance.
