All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked on the exterior “Tax Acquired Property Bid – Map R11 Lot 15.” The bid form is attached to this notice. All bids must be received at the Patten Town Office by 3:00p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Each bid must be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a certified check or money order, payable to the Town of Patten, in an amount equal to 10% of the bid price. The Successful Bidder's deposit will be credited to the total purchase price for the parcel. Deposits will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders once a final acceptance is made. Any bid which does not contain the proper deposit will be rejected. The successful bidder will have thirty days from the date of bid acceptance to complete the purchase. In the event that the successful bidder fails, for any reason, to complete the purchase in the time stated, the bid acceptance is void and the bidder's deposit shall be forfeited to the Town.
