The 1800 Sq ft house is currently set up as 2 bedrooms (queen beds in both) and two offices (one of which includes a medium size flat screen tv and a full-size futon). All of the bedrooms are on the second floor along with a full bath. There is a deck off the second floor that can be accessed from one of the bedrooms and the office/tv room. There is also a hot tub in the backyard that is accessed from the second floor. The main level consists of an open floor plan including the kitchen, dining room and living room. There is a woodstove on the main level that can be used as a secondary heating source if desired (the main heat source throughout the house is hot water baseboard, so it stays plenty warm with or without the woodstove). Much of the main level is glass and the views are fantastic. There is a deck off the main level with outdoor furniture, a BBQ grill and hammock. There is a half bath on the main level as well as a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Overall, the house is very light and comfortable, somewhat minimalist and set up to enjoy the natural surroundings. We ask that outdoor shoes not be worn in the house. While the house has a quiet mountain feel, it is only 12-15 minutes on paved road down to Pearl Street and 20 minutes from Nederland. Betasso Nature Preserve which provides over 8 miles of trails for hiking and biking is less than a mile from the house. We will be away from Boulder from November 1 to May 31 and are looking for a responsible individual, couple or small family to rent our house for 6 months while we are gone. The rent is $3200 per month and includes the electricity that is generated from the solar panels on the roof, high-speed internet and a landline. Other utilities that are not included in the rent are any additional electricity, propane (heating, hot water and stove--averages about $115 a month (with some use of the woodstove), and wood for burning in the woodstove. This is our home, and we are looking for people who will take good care of it and enjoy it as their home while they are here. We prefer no pets but would be willing to discuss. We would prefer to find someone who is interested in renting it for the whole time but may be open to shorter periods. We would consider a slight reduction in rent for a single person.
