We also perform background checks, credit checks, and call landlords and current employers. On background you must have no felonies within 5 years and no violent crimes ever. Credit must not include unpaid judgements from previous landlords or mortgage holders, no open judgements from landlord in past 3 years, no open bankruptcies, and no judgements from landlord within 3 years minimum. Previous landlord must be able to provide a good reference, including stating that no major damage was done to their rental unit.
