Openings:
1. English basement (unfurnished) with private entrance, bathroom, kitchenette, separate bedroom/living room, and a walk-in closet. Rent: $1300 (plus utilities split evenly, about $100/mo./per person).
2. Large bedroom (unfurnished) on the top floor. Will easily fit Queen bed, dresser, and desk, with room to spare. You'd share the upstairs bathroom with one other person (me!). Rent: $1000 (plus utilities split evenly, about $100/mo./per person).
The house is spacious and bright and has a furnished main floor (though there's plenty of storage/space available). Main floor has an open kitchen with island, eat-in dining area, large living room, and half bathroom. Upstairs: two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a third shared office. Extras: front porch, back yard, garage with alley access, and a rooftop deck. Street parking is very easy to come by. Shared laundry located in the basement (the only time upstairs tenants are down there). Dogs ok, pending meet-and-greet with current resident dog. No cats.
The location:
Centrally located, right next to a bus stop, short walk to two Metro stations (Georgia/Petworth or Columbia Heights both green/yellow lines), and Rock Creek Park is practically in the backyard. The neighborhood feels more residential than hectic, but it's a short 5/10-minute walk to bars, restaurants, the grocery store, and other amenities.

I am late 20s and work in marketing for a SaaS company. Currently WFH but returning to the office a few days per week starting in Jan. I am friendly and outgoing and happy to hang out, share a glass of wine, have movie/game nights, but I also value quiet weeknights and down time. Clean, tidy, approachable, respectful. I have a medium-sized dog, Rosie. She's old, shy, and quiet rarely barks, sleeps 22 hours a day.
Ideal candidates are financially secure, clean, considerate, good communicators, and vaccinated.
