A farmhouse in the city! Actually, it was built for a shipyard family in the 1890s, but it feels like a farmhouse. It also has a magical yard that feels like being in the country even though it's only a 5 minute drive from downtown Bath, and a 15 minute walk to the Maine Maritime Museum. There is one bedroom and one bath (with shower) on the ground floor, two bedrooms, bath (with clawfoot tub) and library/study on the second floor, and one bedroom on the third floor. I'm an artist, and there is a 400-sq.ft. sunny studio equipped for printmaking. It's fully furnished (and much loved!). There's also lots of storage room in the dry basement. I'm only renting the house because have to be away for most of a year, so I'm offering a 9-month lease from July 2020 through April 2021, though the exact dates are negotiable. I do need someone at least through the winter because I can't easily manage changing tenants. I'll need references, first and last months' rent, and a deposit of $1500 (a bit more with pets). For $1750 a month I'll include all utilities except electricity. That covers oil for heat and hot water, propane for the kitchen stove, water and sewer, and internet. It's a good deal because I've already prepaid for oil, and easier for me too.
