A Passive Solar Energy Efficient home provides an open experience connecting you to nature and the fantastic view of the Daisy Wilson Meadow. Passive Solar means without mechanical devices.Minergy house has no furnace, no thermostats, no conventional radiators and has never used any fossil fuels. There are no solar panels on the roof. A spacious south facing greenhouse provides most of the space heating plus a ground mounted photovoltaic solar array in the side yard produces the electricity needed to operate the home. Excess energy is sold back to Eversource as permitted by the Massachusetts "net metering" regulations. At a -0- cost for electricity, the house produces more electricity than it uses.
