We built it ourselves in 2001, like the houses in Florida on stilts. We’ve since enclosed it because there can be additional rooms built since you can stand underneath the house. It’s been re painted, the exterior of the house, the garage and the porches earlier this year. It has 2.78 acres and some of it is in pasture land. There’s a small creek dividing the property in the pasture, which is full of deer and various wildlife. The garage is detached and the sidewalk is concrete that runs a few feet out from the front porch all the way to the end of the back porch. The front porch is the entire length of the house. It’s got a swing set that was installed from Lowe’s that will remain on the property, pear trees in the backyard along with ornamental flowering trees. 2 large ornamental trees are in the front of the house providing shade and privacy. There’s plenty of parking space and it’s on a private road with just a handful of neighbors. It’s a quiet peaceful little neighborhood well off the main road with lots of privacy. The kitchen has hardwood floors with wainscoting all around. It has a ceramic backsplash the entire length behind the sink and has roosters on it. It has a huge ceramic backsplash behind the stove with a rooster in the middle. The bathroom has linoleum and the washer/dryer is in there also. It has a lodge theme mural of bears on the wall. The smaller bedroom has a garden mural with flowers, rabbits, birds, insects, clouds, bird bath and picket fences all around the walls, it’s beautiful in there. It can accommodate a full size bed and dresser. The attic is in the closet of this bedroom. The main bedroom is painted sage green with a queen size bed, entertainment center and huge dresser . The living room is very long and almost the length of the house with carpet in there and the bedrooms. It does need to be replaced, and it’s painted a light chocolate brown with the lodge theme, we wanted to have a cabin feeling to the home. There’s lots of huge oaks on the side of the property and pasture. We’re selling due to having to relocate, we’ve lived here almost 30 years and love this place. It does have flower beds and everything is kept weeded and the house has nothing growing up against it. In between the living room and kitchen is an archway we built going into the kitchen. The cabinets are oak and the walls are a ecru/ivory color. Both front and back doors are painted green that were matched exactly to the color of the green metal roof. There’s NO leaks on the roof or the garage roof, which has the matching metal green roofing. It’s well maintained and has the installation of satellite boxes for TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. Underneath, we installed hurricane brackets and extra support brackets when we built it. The exterior is a wood siding, like a knotty barn style that is painted a shade of brown. It’s a beautiful smaller home, surrounded by huge trees, rabbits running in the yard, and lots of peace and quiet from the neighbors, which they aren’t close by.
