We have 2.79 private acres with a spring-fed pond, some woods and lots of open space for lawn and garden. Our water is pure spring water, not well water. Both bathrooms have radiant heat in the floor. The house has hardwood and pine floors, all recently new pipes, upgraded electric, 4 zone heating, and many other upgrades like French drains around the perimeter and drains under the driveway and deck. Woodstove heats house a lot and cuts oil bill by more than half, easily. The house sits up high on a knoll on a mountain, with a big wrap-around porch and a side deck. I LOVE to garden and have ample room for a kitchen and cutting garden plus lots of herbs and flowers. The woods are great for both firewood, kindling and bonfire wood. The pond is lovely for swimming. It's fairly shallow around the edges but gets about 6 feet in the middle. The water is clear and fresh and clean, fed from the spring that runs from the mountain. You could also stock it with fish for a little spot of heaven in the woods! It's a great old house with fantastic bones and just needs a new lick of paint to make it a perfect country/mountain home. The sun rises right over the mountains and tall pines which is my favorite vew from the front bedroom window. The whole house has wonderful light with many south-facing windows. The country kitchen is large with stone/slate floor and a walk-in pantry. The is also a lovely winter porch off the kitchen. Neighborhood Description The mountain is high and quiet, the house sits up with a lovely view of the sunrise and the woods and mountains, the road in front is very well-maintained and though it feels private and full of nature it's only a quick 5 minute trip down the road into town! Our neighbors are very nice, quiet people. Our driveway is long and flat with plenty of parking spots.
