The basement apartment has a private entry and is owner occupied on weekends and some weekdays. The laundry room is also shared and in the basement unit. We are looking for a quiet single person to share this tranquil house. This house has a great location. It is very private but with great access to Seattle. It is located 1/2 mile from the Southworth ferry and a few blocks from the beach. A public bus stop is just one block away. Commuting to Seattle is a breeze with two ferry options. The fast passenger ferry to downtown or a car ferry to West Seattle. I used to commute to Beacon Hill in a van pool and it took one hour door to door, but without the hassle of sitting in traffic. I was able to use my time to get ready for work, eat breakfast, take a nap, or catch up on reading etc. The upstairs space has huge windows to watch wildlife: deer, rabbits, eagles, and great blue heron have all been viewed on the property. On sunny days, sit on the front deck and enjoy a drink with waning sun and a huge oak tree to shade you. This house has hardwoods in the living room and master bedroom. There is new carpet in the second bedroom, and vinyl in the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom is newly remodeled and has a full bath. High efficiency heat pump provided heating in the winter and air conditioning in the summer. The rent is $1600 and includes internet and water. Tenants pay for electric, garbage and recycling. The deposit is also $1600 and last months rent can be paid in increments over 4-6 months. One year lease with option to go month to month after the lease ends. Pets open for negotiation, but none more than 20 pounds, and with an additional pet deposit of $150.
