The rural and quiet setting is a stone's throw from Northern Bay. The house is located a 15-minute drive from Bucksport or Blue Hill, 35-minute drive from Ellsworth, and 45-minute drive from Bangor. Historic Castine is 15 minutes away while Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor a beautiful 1-hour drive. The house has 2 bedrooms on the upper floor. The main bedroom has a queen bed and plenty of closet space. The second bedroom has two twin beds. The house has one full bathroom on the main level. The upstairs hallway has an office nook for those who are working remotely. We utilize Starlink Satellite internet, the fastest available in this rural area. The main level has an open floor plan with a tv/entertainment room, morning room, dining area and kitchen. The house is warmed by a newly installed heat pump. Secondary heat sources include propane heaters and a wood burning fireplace (fire-wood stacked next to the property). The fully equipped kitchen has modern appliances including a gas stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and farmhouse sink. The mud-room has a washer and dryer as well. The house has a narrow spiral staircase that leads to the second floor. This may make it undesirable for those with mobility issues and hazardous for very young children. Pets: We love our furry animals and recognize that they are an integral part of the family. We welcome one well behaved dog or cat (has to be spayed / neutered / fixed, no exceptions) on the property during a stay. Exceptions to this may be granted following a personal conversation and understanding of the situation. Note that we have wildlife almost always on the property. Deer love to come in the early morning and late evening. We are frequented by porcupines and skunks as well and encourage you to ALWAYS be aware of what your pet is up to. Traffic in front of the house can be quite fast and next to a blind corner. Make sure your furry and not so furry loved ones are not going on to the road unsupervised. - Lease term is negotiable, with an expected last date of April 30th, 2025. - Renter is responsible for garbage disposal at the local transfer station (inclusive of any associated fees). Paid curbside garbage disposal is available for an additional $50/month. - Renter is responsible for utilities (electricity, propane). - Mandatory $250 cleaning fee will be charged per lease term. - Absolutely no smoking in the house (inclusive of vaping, cannabis, and other substances). Renter will be responsible for all remediation expenses. - Please respect the neighbors and observe reasonable quiet hours. No loud music/noise, large gatherings or parties are permitted. - One well behaved dog or cat (has to be spayed / neutered, no exceptions) is permitted on the property during a stay. No other pets are permitted. Owner is responsible for any damages caused to home and furnishings.
