A-frame "ski chalet" style with 600 square feet of open deck on North and East. The house sits on top of a full basement/garage built above aground. The basement is 1490 square feet, unfinished but heated, and plumbed for a toilet. The home is entered from the deck after climbing stairs from the ground. The first floor is 1490 square feet with laminate flooring throughout. There is an open-concept kitchen/dining/living area with a large stone fireplace and 17-ft vaulted ceiling. There is also an enclosed laundry space. Down a short hall are two bedrooms and a full bath. At the center of the house is an exposed stairway with stairs down to the basement and up to an open loft that overlooks the dining and living areas. A door from the loft opens to a large "master bedroom" with another vaulted ceiling. The stairs, loft and master are all carpeted. Opening off the master is a small room with a toilet and bath. Another door leads to a large walk-in closet that includes a built-in vanity with two sinks. Improvements to the house since we purchased it in 1999 are as follows: The deck as completely rebuilt in 2003. The kitchen was gutted and totally remodeled in 2005 and stainless steel appliances installed, including two wall-mounted electric ovens, gas cook-top with hood, refrigerator and dishwasher. At the same time, laminate flooring was installed throughout the first floor and all rooms painted. Finally an external French-drain system was installed around the foundation, thus keeping the basement totally dry since 2005. In 2015, the lower bath was totally remodeled and a new soaker tub installed. In 2018, a new concrete driveway was poured and a entirely new gas heating and cooling system was installed.
