Our charming, furnished two bedroom country house in White's Valley, Mount Pleasant Township, (Forest City School District) is available for rent. The first floor has an open floor plan with three large picture windows for ample viewing of the outdoors. A large covered front porch, firewood storage and separate first floor laundry area in an enclosed back porch finish off the first floor's offerings . There are two bedrooms and one bathroom with shower over tub on the second floor. The house is nestled into the base of a hill along a creek down a private lane, in a peaceful, serene and secluded setting yet only nine or so miles to Forest City, ten miles to Honesdale, eleven miles to Waymart and about 17 miles to Carbondale. Please orient yourself as to the location of the Village of White's Valley to familiarize yourself with driving distances to your work and so on. The rent of $1400.00/month does not include utilities. There is oil/forced air heat and a wood stove. Along with paying the rent on time you will be responsible for all utilities. DSL and Datavision is available from NEP. Use of furnishings, trash pick-up, mowing and plowing is included in the rental fee. We will require proof of income (3 times the rental fee), minimum credit score of 7, references, security deposit of $1400.00 (which may not be applied to last month's rent) and the purchase of the 550 gallons of fuel oil in the tanks at current market price on day of moving in (on 11/3/22 market price was ~$3100). No smoking and no pets are allowed. We love this place and are willing to rent it out only to truly responsible and conscientious people who are also financially stable.
