We bought this land because we believe we've got just about the prettiest 10 acres in North Carolina. Our vision for our home was to create a cozy Carolina farm house that was efficient, light-filled, and comfortable. The scale is personal; we did not want a Mcmansion filled with rooms nobody uses. With geothermal HVAC and tight construction, energy usage is low. The emphasis is on the transitions between the indoors and out... a grand front porch you might see on a 100 year old house, and a matching back deck. Our landscape design emphasizes a wide variety of local native species. We've worked hard to lay out the barn, ring, roundpen, and pastures to create an ideal full featured equestrian facility.
