Built-ins and pre-deconstructed balloon framing with integrated steps in the entryways... no ladder climbing needed to reach this roost! Roof manages to keep out most sun and water (not proof against asteroids or nuclear missiles). Fully embedded toilet! That's right. We took a closet, and affixed a toilet to the floor in it with our bestest super-glue. We even ran a hose from the city water supply so you can pretend it flushes. The poop DOES disappear. America! - Ok, in all seriousness: The full top floor in a charming 1927 duplex, lovingly maintained. All original wood work, with little quirks and modern conveniences. Experience the texture under your feet of 90 year old, newly refinished wood-floors throughout the unit. They "glow" in the morning light. It has an excellent bathroom, a kitchen-stove with griddle & 2 ovens, sound-isolation between floors in the common areas and bedrooms, excellent light, its own front-entrance, great closets, a nest thermostat for energy saving, and a beautiful built-in in the dining room. The building has an excellent backyard with patio & pergola, laundry (no charge), gardening space, and a dedicated bicycle garage. USI Fiber Internet included ~500Mbps. A hard-line connection goes to the more 'office' oriented of the two bedrooms. Silent Ceiling fans and front entry switches are smart-home ready. (I used to live in it and made is sehr nett) Off-street parking available year-round as an add-on. Ask at showing. Pets and smoking on-property are absolutely not an option (unless it's a single very cool-cat). If you're a 'shoes-off' person this place may be for you.
