We are two women in our late-20's-early 30's looking for a young professionals to take over two open rooms in our beautiful Petworth rowhouse, available now. Move in date is flexible as we will be resigning our lease on April 1. We work in downtown DC for non-profits or the government. We love to travel, cook and bake, and
are generally pretty active. We are incredibly easy going, friendly, and courteous of each other.
The House: It is conveniently located right next to the Petworth Metro Station (about 2 blocks away). There are buses that run on New Hampshire as well as Georgia Ave. There is parking available in the back of the house, and also lot of parking along the street. It is a short 10 minute walk to Colombia Heights, where you can find a Target,
Giant, DSW, and many restaurants. There is also a Safeway right up the street only 5 minutes away. Its a really great location, with many brunch places and bars nearby. The landlord is incredibly friendly and
responsive, and is always very attentive to fixing things or answering questions. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed. Utilities are not included in the rent, but usually cost us about $60 each month.
The Rooms:
Front Basement Room: Great room with nice sized closet and natural light. Wood floors and plenty of outlets.
Back Basement Room:The room and adjacent area are very spacious. The room also comes with an inlet, which previous roommates have made into a walk in closet, reading area, storage area, or art studio. Wood floors and plenty of outlets. Unfortunately, it does not get natural light.
