The location is near the intersection of Western Ave. and Howard St., on a quiet street. It is midway between the Charles river and Cambridge's Central Square (City Hall, etc.). Prime location, walking distance to Harvard College, Harvard Business School, and MIT. To MGH, it is 2.3 miles, and 2.6 miles to the Longwood Medical Area. It is about a seven minute walk to the Red Line train station at Central Square. Whole Foods is a five minute walk. Very close to lots of pubs and nice restaurants, shopping, and everything else.
All three bedrooms have really nice bay windows. The front bedroom is enormous and has an office inside. The middle bedroom is also enormous. The rear bedroom is average size (please see floor plan), accommodates a queen bed and a small desk, and has an "open concept" closet, designed by a former tenant who was an architect.
The apartment has excellent central air conditioning. You have your own private outdoor deck on the second floor, but the backyard, and the 3-car driveway, are shared with the first-floor unit. I actively maintain the garden, and there are lots of nice plants and a nice lawn. The first-floor tenants are a nice professional couple, and I'm committed to finding quiet, respectful people for the unit above them. No smoking, no pets.
