Skylites in the living room ceiling offer views of the Islands from the mezzanine; a small widow's walk off the mezzanine also adds a view to Falmouth. The mezzanine and the dining room features stain glass from Harriet Hyams. The Master Bedroom Suite has an open view bedroom with a fireplace and a fifteen foot ceiling, massive bathroom with jacuzzi looking over private wooded, stone walled area, walls of closets, plus a study with convertible sofa bed as the fifth bedroom. The lower level maintains the same immediate garden views from Paul's Point to Woods Hole from a family room and bedroom. There is also a bedroom in the front which shares a bath with the rear bedroom. A separate room with full bath reachable only from the outside offers privacy and the same visual enjoyment as that of the main structure. Heating is by a zoned oil-fired, hot water system, allowing heat to be provided only where needed. Similarly, air conditioning is provided by independent mini-split systems which allow for individual control as needed. Anderson casement windows, sliding glass doors, plus a prevailing breeze from Vineyard Sound offer natural ventilation throughout. The exterior decking extends across the rear of the dwelling on both levels, across a 2-vehicle carport, ending at an outdoor shower. The decks are joined by a wide stairway gently sloping down from the carport to the lower level. The property is a beneficiary of the Makonikey Roads and Beach Trust allowing enjoyment of Upper Makonikey's Upper and Lower Beaches. Further the Deed maintains a perpetual easement for topping rights over 140 feet on the adjoining (westerly) property, which is the ground level of the upper deck. Another covenant prohibits construction of another house on this property and on the adjoining one.
