Be a part of the Wiscasset renaissance in the historic Macurda House. The Macurda house is a Federal style home built in 1795. In its original configuration, the front facade was water-facing, and the Fort Hill St. side was the back entry. During the 19th century, the interiors received a Victorian overhaul. As the years went on, it was used for rental units and offices. The current owners have used the first floor for commercial purposes, with living quarters on second floor.
